Dear Voice Mail Customer,

Liberty Communications is installing a new voice mail system that will offer more features and accommodate our growing number of customers.  We will be converting to the new system on the morning of Monday, August 11, 2003.   After this date, all incoming calls will be routed to the new voice mail system.

On August 11, there are a few steps you will want to do to improve the security and performance of your voicemail account.  First, there is a new common access number – 627-MAIL (6245).  The system will then prompt you to enter your mailbox identification number, which will be your phone number and then press the pound (#) key.  Then you may enter your password to access messages or make changes to your account.

The first time you access your voice mail account you will use a new temporary password we have assigned.  This temporary password will be the last four digits of your home or main business phone number.  OBVIOUSLY, YOU WILL NEED TO ENTER A UNIQUE PASSWORD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR SECURITY REASONS.  The system will accept passwords up to 16 digits.  We suggest you write down your password and keep it in a safe place.  Should you ever forget your password, you may call our office and we can reset it to the last four digits of your phone number.   Here is how to change your temporary password to one that is unique to you.

Text Box: Select the Settings option (9) from the main menu

Password Options (2)

Please enter your new password followed by the pound key (#)

Verify your new password by reentering it now, followed by the # key

You will hear “Your password has been changed” and you will return to the setup menu.

Your new mailbox will have a standard greeting, stating that this number is not accepting calls at this time and to please leave a message.  We suggest that each voicemail customer record their own greeting to make callers more

comfortable leaving a message.

A new greeting can be easily recorded by following the prompts for the greeting option.

Text Box: Select the setting option (9) from the main menu

Greeting Options (1)

To play the current greeting press 1

To keep the current greeting press 2

To delete the current greeting press 3

To record a new greeting press 4

To return to the setup menu press the star key (*)

To hear these instructions again press 0

The existing voice mail system will remain in service until September 2 allowing you time to retrieve any messages received prior to August 11.   To access the old system after the conversion, dial 627-8888 and enter your old password.  On September 2, the old voice mail system will cease to be operational and all messages will be erased.

We have enclosed operational instructions on the new voice mail platform for your records.  Although the new system operates very similar to our older platform, there are a few minor changes, so you may find the instructions helpful.

The system includes excellent verbal instructions that most customers find can “talk” them through the various options and setting menus.

Thank you for being a voice mail customer, we hope you like the new system.   If you should have any problems or questions after the conversion, please call our office during business hours and we will help you.

Respectfully yours,

Jerry S. Melick

Manager

P.S.     Our Speed Dial service, which is included free with your local telephone service, is a great application to quickly access your voice mailbox.  Just dial *74 from your home or business phone, when dial tone returns, assign the speed dial code by selecting a number 2 - 9, then 627-6245 (example: *74-6-627-6245).  Three short beeps will confirm that your programming has been completed.  Now you can access your mail from your home or business just by picking up the phone and dialing the single digit number you have assigned.
